WiseBite ("the App") is developed by Andrew F. Munoz. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
WiseBite does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. All user data, including grocery lists, scan history, calorie logs, meal plans, and preferences, is stored locally on your device.
The App requests camera access solely to scan food product barcodes and to take photos of custom products. No images or video are stored, recorded, or transmitted to any server.
The App may request access to your photo library to allow you to add images to custom products. Selected images are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared.
On Android devices, the App can optionally sync nutrition and hydration data with Health Connect. This integration is opt-in and can be disabled at any time in the App settings. Health data is only written to Health Connect on your device and is never transmitted to external servers by the App.
The App connects to the following third-party APIs to retrieve product and recipe data:
Only search queries (product barcodes, product names, ingredient names) are sent to these services. No personal information is transmitted.
WiseBite does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No usage data, crash reports, or behavioral information is collected.
All app data (grocery lists, scan history, calorie logs, meal plans, settings, theme preference, language selection) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. No data is uploaded to any server or cloud service. Deleting the App permanently removes all associated data.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App does not require account creation or any personal data to function.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
